MUNICIPAL BOARD

June 9, 2020

A regular meeting of the Municipal Water and Sewer Board of the Village of Lowville was held on June 9, 2020. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mr. Joseph Zehr.

Approval of Minutes:

Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to approve the minutes of the May 12th, 2020 regular meeting. All in favor.

Public Comment

§ None.

Correspondence:

§ Brian Western – re: Rainstorm events – stormwater overflow.

The Municipal Board members referred this back to the Board of Trustees as it is a stormwater issue.

§ US EPA – re: Risk and resilience assessment certification statement/emergency response plan.

Old Business:

§ Watson Water Service Agreements:

No update.

§ WWTP Upgrade:

· Phase II: – No update. New York State still on hold due to Covid-19.

§ Village Water Filtration System:

· Groundwater Development Project:

§ Well Access Road / Landing Area Timber Cut: – Supt. Denise reported that the road is complete.

§ Well Development Bid Package: – GYMO has not completed the bids for the Board to review for well development.

· US EPA Administrative Order: – No update.

· Property Owner Proposal – Water Supply Investigation: – No Update.

New Business:

§ Easement Width – Waters Road Solar Farm – (Formal Recommendation):

Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to recommend an easement of 25 feet on the outer side of each utility line. All in favor.

· Inquiry – WWTP Sampling:

Project on hold.

§ Next Meeting – July 14th.
