MUNICIPAL BOARD

October 19, 2021

A regular meeting of the Municipal Water and Sewer Board of the Village of Lowville was held on October 19, 2021. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mr. Joseph Zehr.

Approval of Minutes:

Motion by Mrs. Duflo, seconded by Mr. Kraeger to approve the minutes of the September 14, 2021, regular meeting. All in favor.

§ Phase II WWTP Upgrade:

§ Contracts to be awarded at tomorrow’s Village Board of Trustees meeting.

§ Proposed Water Surcharge Amounts for Industrial Accounts:

§ Public hearing at tomorrow’s Village of Lowville Board of Trustees meeting.

§ DEC Application:

§ No current updates.

New Business:

§ Kraft Surcharges:

§ Kraft Surcharges

§ August 2021 – $0

§ September 2021 – $250

Motion by Mr Kraeger, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to approve the Kraft surcharges as listed. All in favor.

§ Town of Lowville

· A water connection application was received for 6119 Foxpath.

Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mr. Widrick to approve the request for water service. All in favor.

§ GYMO Rate Structure

§ GYMO, PC did a presentation on water and sewer rates for residential and industrial users demonstrating a 2.5% and 5% rate increase.

Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to recommend to the Board of Trustees to increase sewer rates 2.5% for the November 2022 billing. All in favor.

§ Supt. Denise advised the Board that this resident called the DOH with the same issues he has had in the past. Mr. Zehr will contact the resident to see if the problem can be resolved.
