MUNICIPAL BOARD

May 10, 2022

A regular meeting of the Municipal Water and Sewer Board of the Village of Lowville was held on May 10, 2022. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mr. Joseph Zehr.

Approval of Minutes:

Motion by Mrs. Duflo, seconded by Mr. Kraeger to approve the minutes of the April 12, 2022 regular meeting. All in favor.

Old Business:

GYMO, PC UPGRADES:

§ Supt. Denise reported the Sewer plant project is coming along well. Spencer Electric is 95% done. NCC and APG will be in next week to start their parts.

DEC Application:

· Supt. Denise reported the Lowville Water Withdrawal permit has been officially granted for 2,118,400 GPD.

KRAFT SURCHARGES

· Supt. Denise spoke to Eric Lee.

New Business:

§ Kraft Sewer Charges:

§ April $3,250

Motion by Mrs. Duflo, seconded by Mr. Widrick to accept the surcharges as listed. All in favor.

§ Kraft Water Charges:

§ April $0

§ Town of New Bremen:

§ 7610 Number Four Rd. has requested the Town of New Bremen to fix the water issues he is having. The Village of Lowville will be responsible for installing a shut off and the Town of New Bremen is responsible for the rest.

§ Lewis County General Hospital

§ Supt. Denise updated the Board on the progress of the hospital construction.

§ GYMO, PC

§ The Board has discussion regarding the DOH suggesting the Village install a shut off valve at Kraft to monitor usage.
