MUNICIPAL BOARD

August 9, 2022

A regular meeting of the Municipal Water and Sewer Board of the Village of Lowville was held on August 9, 2022. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mr. Joseph Zehr.

Approval of Minutes:

Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mr. Widrick to approve the minutes of the July 12, 2022 regular meeting. All in favor.

Public Comment:

Old Business:

GYMO, PC UPGRADES:

· Progress is being made on the desludging of the lagoons.

· Gymo did a presentation of the financial aspect of the sewer project. Due to the unforeseen increase in costs to complete the sewer project GYMO proposed an increase in the already existing bond as well as an increase in sewer rates. The amount of sludge to be removed was much higher than originally estimated.

Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to increase the sewer rates for all users 7.5% over 3 billing periods. All in favor.

Motion by Mrs. Duflo, seconded by Mr. Kraeger to increase the existing bond $2.9 Million Dollars. All in favor.

Town of New Bremen:

· No new information from New Bremen for 7610 Number Four Rd. Supt. Denise has had no contact with New Bremen.

New Business:

§ Kraft Sewer Charges:

§ June – None.

§ Kraft Water Charges:

§ July $5,000

Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to accept the July 2022 water surcharges. All in favor.
