MUNICIPAL BOARD

March 28, 2023

A regular meeting of the Municipal Water and Sewer Board of the Village of Lowville was held on March 28, 2023. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mr. Joseph Zehr.

Approval of Minutes:

Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to approve the minutes of the December 13, 2022 regular meeting. All in favor.

Old Business:

GYMO, PC UPGRADES:

· WTP – S.C. Spencer is waiting for electronic components before continuing the project.

· WWTP – Mr. Zehr and Mr. Tabolt recommended checking with DOH before pumping sludge from lagoon 2 into lagoon 1. Mr. Zehr and Mr. Tabolt also stated they would recommend using a sludge judge to get a more accurate measurement on the sludge in lagoon 2. They also suggest a different solution to cleaning lagoon 2 from sludge. There is a possibility DEC would allow a stockpile or ground spread the sludge from lagoon 2. Mr. Kraeger, Mr. Zehr and Supt. Denise will meet with Mayor Beagle to explain the process to him. Supt. Denise will ensure GYMO, PC will be at the April 11th meeting as well.

An application was received from the Town of Lowville for water and sewer connection for the above address. It was decided that DOH needed to give approval for the water connection.

Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to accept the water connection pending DOH approval. All in favor. Mr. Widrick abstaining.
