MUNICIPAL BOARD

April 11, 2023

A regular meeting of the Municipal Water and Sewer Board of the Village of Lowville was held on April 11, 2023. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mr. Joseph Zehr.

Approval of Minutes:

Motion by Mrs. Duflo, seconded by Mr. Comet to approve the minutes of the March 28, 2023 regular meeting. All in favor.

Old Business:

GYMO, PC UPGRADES:

· WTP – Supt. Denise reported the project is moving along well. The projected date to go online with the wells is June 2023.

· WWTP – Mr. Zehr reported the DEC will not allow pumping lagoon 2 into lagoon 1. APG will be measuring lagoon 2 for an accurate sludge reading. On April 17, 2023 the DEC, Joe Beagle, Joe Zehr, Paul Denise and GYMO will meet to see what is allowed to complete the sewer lagoon project.

Mr. Widrick reported the project at this time will not happen.

§ Sewer Rate Increase for Outside Users

The Board was presented with a suggested rate increase for hauled septage at the sewer plant. The current rate is $0.05 per gallon with a proposed increase to $0.08 per gallon.

Motion by Mr. Widrick, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to recommend to the Board of Trustees that an increase in price for hauled septage be increased to $0.08 per gallon. All in favor.
