VILLAGE OF LOWVILLE

MUNICIPAL BOARD

November 14, 2023

A regular meeting of the Municipal Water and Sewer Board of the Village of Lowville was held on November 14, 2023. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mr. Don Kraeger.

Municipal Board Members: Don Kraeger Tom Widrick Dorothy Duflo

Others Present: Wendy Snowden Chuck Terrillion Paul Denise

Approval of Minutes:

Motion by Mr. Widrick, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to approve the minutes of the October 10, 2023, regular meeting. All in favor.

Public Comment:

§ None.

Correspondence:

§ NB&C – Verizon Wireless facility placement

Motion by Mr. Widrick, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to recommend to the Board of Trustees not to allow a facility to be placed on Village water property. All in favor.

§ 5620 Water St. –

Motion by Mr. Widrick, seconded by Mrs. Duflo to advise the resident the meter was tested and was found to be in working order therefore no refund will be issued. All in favor.

Old Business:

GYMO, PC UPGRADES:

· WWTP Phase II – Mr. Denise reported the plant upgrades are mostly complete. There are punch list items still being worked on.

· WTP – Mr. Denise reported that wells are online at this time. There are punch list items being completed at this time.

Kraft meter:

· Mr. Denise reported the meter has not been installed at this time. Mr. Worden was to get further information on the meter and contact Mr. Denise to have the meter installed. Mr. Denise reported he has not had any further contact with Mr. Worden.

Motion by Mr. Widrick, seconded by Mr. Kraeger that if no plan is in place by Friday 11/17/23 to have the meter installed, Mr. Denise is to return the meter to Core & Main and go with another vendor to get a meter installed as soon as possible. All in favor.

New Business:

§ Water/Sewer Application 5554 Woodlawn Ave.:

Mr. Denise reported the Village has installed the water and sewer lines. The Village will be notified when the homeowner is ready to have the meter installed.

§ Kraft Sewer Surcharges:

§ Sept. $250

§ Oct. $0

§ Kraft Water Surcharges:

§ Oct. $1000

Motion by Mrs. Duflo, seconded by Mr. Widrick to approve the sewer and water surcharges as listed. All in favor.
