MUNICIPAL BOARD
March 12, 2024

A regular meeting of the Municipal Water and Sewer Board of the Village of Lowville was held on March 12, 2024. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 PM by Mr. Joe Zehr.

Municipal Board Members:    Joe Zehr    Don Kraeger    Tom Widrick    Mike Comet    Dennis Bishop(alt.)

Approval of Minutes:
Motion by Mr. Kraeger, seconded by Mr. Comet to approve the minutes of the February 13, 2024, regular meeting. All in favor.

Public Comment:
None.

None.

Old Business:

GYMO, PC UPGRADES:
WTP – Mr. Denise reported the last invoice is being paid to S.C. Spencer and the project will be complete. It was reported that the phone service has been switched from Frontier to Spectrum. Frontier was constantly down so the alarms were not connected for service. To date all is going well.

WWTP – Mr. Denise reported this project is complete. The Superintendent stated they are looking into the possibility of selling the second lagoon liner.

Kraft meter:
Mr. Denise reported the RAFA representative is building a panel board to work specifically with the meter that is already installed.

Well Development:

Mr. Denise stated the testing portion of the new well development will be $68,400.

Motion by Mr. Widrick, seconded by Mr. Bishop to proceed with the well project. All in favor.

Timber Cut:

Mr. Denise reported Prentiss & Carlisle will be inspecting the areas at WTP for the timber cut.

Town of Lowville
Mr. Widrick reported that the Town of Lowville has received 2.7 million dollars to expand water lines in water district one. No further information is available currently as the project is in the preliminary stages.
